High School students were challenged to take a systematic and analytical approach to writing essays during their writing skills lesson. They identified three important steps:

1) highlight the key vocabulary and phrases

2) identify the limits of the essay

3) highlight the task words.

Mr. Joyce asked the students to note these steps in a prominent place in their notebooks in order to reference them the night before they take the Cambridge Examinations.
