Was turkey served at the first Thanksgiving? Are there four towns called Turkey in the United States? What is the average number of calories consumed on Thanksgiving Day?

These are some of the questions our High School students had to face today in the course of our Thanksgiving Trivia quiz. However, they first acquired some more serious knowledge about the origin of the holiday, why it is celebrated after the harvest and how it developed over the years. There was no shortage of food on our Thanksgiving table.

Delicious pecan, pumpkin and apple pies, carrot cakes, cupcakes and cheese puffs were prepared by students, with a little help from their parents, which we are very grateful for!
